This is a small author website. Here is plainly what it collects and why.
The free guide / email list
If you sign up for the free guide or email updates, you give your email address (and your first name, if you choose to). The signup form is provided by Kit (kit.com), the email service used for this list, and Kit stores your details and sends the emails. Kit’s privacy policy is at kit.com/privacy.
- You’ll get a confirmation email first. You aren’t added until you click to confirm.
- Your address is used only to send the free guide and related book news. It isn’t sold or shared with anyone else for their marketing.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can leave anytime, or email and ask for your details to be removed.
The form is loaded from Kit’s servers, so Kit may use its own cookies or similar technology to make the form work. This site itself doesn’t set marketing cookies.
Hosting
This site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare processes basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site. Cloudflare may also set a small security cookie. Cloudflare’s privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Analytics
If visitor analytics are enabled later, they will be cookie-light (for example Cloudflare Web Analytics) and will not be used for advertising profiles. There are no advertising or social media tracking scripts on this site in v1.
Amazon links
Book links go to Amazon product pages. This site does not use Amazon Associates affiliate tags unless that changes and this page is updated.
Who is responsible
Quinn Summit runs this site and the email list. Contact: hello@quinnsummit.com.
Why this information is used
For the email list, the legal basis is your consent when you sign up and confirm. You can withdraw it anytime by unsubscribing or emailing. For hosting and security, the basis is a legitimate interest in keeping a small website running safely.
How long it’s kept
Your email address (and first name, if you gave it) is kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Unconfirmed signups may stay in Kit until cleared. Visitor counts, if any, are kept as totals only.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the EU and the UK, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information held about you, in a portable format
- ask for it to be corrected or deleted
- object to or ask to limit how it’s used
- withdraw consent to the email list at any time
- complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO)
To use these rights, email hello@quinnsummit.com. Replies aim to arrive within one month.
Where it’s stored
Kit and Cloudflare are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. Both describe safeguards for transfers from the EU and UK in their privacy policies linked above.
Questions
Email hello@quinnsummit.com. If this policy changes, this page and the date above will be updated.
